While soft shackles provide significant safety benefits, it’s important to note that there is currently no formal legislation in Australia governing their use. As a best practice, we recommend selecting soft shackles rated at 2-3 times the breaking strength of the snatch strap or recovery equipment being used, ensuring maximum safety and performance.
